Insurance, Billing, and Costs

At Strengthened Heart Counseling, we believe that clarity and transparency are essential when it comes to paying for counseling services. We want you to feel comfortable knowing exactly what to expect before beginning your journey with us.

Strengthened Heart Counseling is considered out-of-network with all insurance providers. This means we do not bill insurance companies directly. However, many insurance plans offer out-of-network benefits, which can help cover part of the cost of your counseling sessions.

After each session, you will receive a superbill—a detailed statement similar to a mental health invoice. The superbill includes procedure codes, diagnoses (if applicable), and the fees you paid. You may then submit this document to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. If your plan approves reimbursement, any payments from your insurance company will be sent directly to you.

We recommend checking with your insurance provider in advance to ask about:

  • Whether your plan covers out-of-network mental health services
  • What percentage of the session fee may be reimbursed
  • Whether there are limits on the number of sessions covered

By choosing to remain out-of-network, we are able to:

  • Protect your confidentiality, since insurance reimbursement requires sharing a diagnosis and treatment details

To make the payment process simple and consistent, we require a credit card on file. Your card will be charged on the day of your counseling session. You will always know the session fee upfront—no surprise bills, no hidden costs.

  • Group Therapy
    • 90-minute weekly sessions: $400/month
